A: The cargo carrier fits vehicles with a 2" hitch receiver. Always verify that your vehicle’s hitch class and weight capacity support the carrier.

Q: Can the cargo carrier be used with a hitch extender?
A: Yes, as long as the hitch extender is rated for the appropriate weight capacity and does not compromise stability.

Q: Is this hitch carrier approved for use on a 5th wheel?
A: Yes, as long as the hitch receiver meets the required weight capacity. Always double-check your vehicle’s specifications.

Q: Can the hitch carrier be attached to a tow ball?
A: No, it is not designed for tow ball use. It must be connected to a hitch receiver.

Safety & Security

Q: How does the hitch stabilizer & lock system enhance safety?
A: The hitch stabilizer minimizes wobbling and movement, while the hitch lock prevents theft by securing the carrier to the vehicle.

Q: Will dual exhaust pose a fire hazard?
A: The heavy-duty steel withstands high temperatures, but it is recommended to maintain a safe distance from the exhaust to prevent heat exposure.

Q: Does the cargo carrier block the rearview camera?
A: It may partially obstruct visibility depending on your vehicle and the cargo being carried. Always check after installation and adjust if needed.

Q: What is the maximum recommended height for stacking cargo?
A: If stacking above the side rails, use a cargo net or tie-down straps to keep items secure during travel.

Durability & Maintenance

Q: Is the cargo carrier rust-proof?
A: The carrier is made of anti-rust steel with a protective coating. For extended durability, periodically apply a rust-resistant spray and store it indoors when not in use.

Q: Is the carrier weather-resistant?

This heavyweight PVC cargo bag comes with ratchet straps and a carry bag to store everything when not in use. We will use it for our annual camping trip, where we tote all our necessities for the week.

It arrived but the lock was already open so I couldn't get it to reset. I sent a message to their customer service. I went on a 7 day camping trip and used the cargo bag without the lock. Not a big deal. It worked very well and I got caught in a good rain storm but the bag stayed dry on the inside. Highly recommended. It seemed well built and tough enough. Checked my mail today and the company sent me a new lock! Now we're talking! Great customer service and product. 🙌

Great quality product - gonna come in handy on trips... But, if you want it to look like a cargo box you'll need to build a frame out of PVC. Be sure to use Schd 40 heavy gauge PVC. I didn't glue the fittings in case I want to take it apart for easy storage. There are so great YouTube videos out there if you need help.

Ample storage. Easy to use. Easy to strap onto the hitch hauler. Having never used something like this before, or even thinking about it, I'm glad I went with it. We put 2 suitcases along with other items in it. With it fully loaded, we were still able to open/close the hatch.

Used it once. Drove from Texas to Florida. By the time we got there, the Velcro that holds the flaps down to cover the zipper and help keep water out had came unglued. Reached out to Amazon, they said contact the manufacturer. Reached out to manufacturer, they said to contact Amazon.

This here bag was perfect for me. I bought a $99 cargo carrier to put on the back of my car driving out to Colorado (from Atlanta). I unzipped the (extremely) durable zipper and no water of any kind was in there, even though it rained for about a quarter of my trip, and hard rain nonetheless. Looking back, I wish I would have bought the cargo carrier that this size bag was made for. The company makes a bundle for around $250ish which I would suggest. Again, the bag performed better than expected, and I didn't need a pvc frame to store a lot of stuff inside this bag.

Day 2 of my first trip with the Mockins bag, so far so good. No rain yet so I can't speak to water resistance. I took the suggestion of an earlier reviewer and built a PVC pipe internal frame, which has been helpful. Without the frame it is hard to put anything inside without the sides lid wanting to fold down. The frame allows for easier access, loading and securing with straps. I was able to fit 4 small loaded suitcases (on their side which just fit inside the steel hitch carrier I use) inside and have room to spare on top for some suit bags. I'm pleased with my purchase.

I needed a waterproof bag for my rack that I could put all my camping gear in. I looked at a ton of different ones and this was the best one for a good price. Taking the advice from others, I bought some PVC pipe and built a frame for it. It's so easy to put together. I've already used it a couple of times now and it is exactly what I needed. It has survived high temps (AZ summer heat) and a rainstorm, where everything stayed nice and dry. My dog knows that if that box comes out, he is getting to go on a trip somewhere. It is going to get a lot of use.

So I wanted to a cargo hitch carrier bag to use for our trip to Orlando to Universal and Disney which is approx 6 hours away from us. I refused to use the eggshell roof cargo carrier as I drive a Nissan Armada and accessing that compartment on the roof and putting luggage in it is a hassle I did not want to deal with. So I did some research and because I already had a cargo carrier I looked for a bag and went with this one because of the price point. And man I did not regret this decision! We literally just came back from our trip and low and behold it rained very, very hard on our drive back for almost 4 hours of the trip and yep everything inside was dry! No water or moisture inside! This carrier hitch bag is made out of vinyl/rubber so it does smell like you would expect vinyl/rubber to smell like. Think rain coat material except thicker and more durable. It zips up all the way around tight and then is reinforced with velcro along the top for an extra layer to seal it so no water or dust gets in.Now I will tell you this bag and even the others like it that cost more are just that, bags. The pictures a deceiving as when you receive it it's not square like it is in the picture it's literally just a large cargo bag that you can put your stuff in which in itself is not bad and would still work. But a quick YouTube search found a video on how to build a frame for this bag and others like it out of PVC piping which took less than an hour to build. No More than $25 was spent on the PVC pipe at Lowe's to construct the frame which fit perfectly! I have attached a picture that shows it with the PVC pipe in it and now it looks just like the one advertised in the pictures and maximizes so much more space. I fit 2 large suit cases and a stroller in it along with some other belongings. I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone looking to purchase one!***4 year update***After multiple road trips through various weather conditions the bag is still holding up! No tears, ho.

Was so excited to use this bag for the first time. Went on a 3.5 hour trip and when the bag was unloaded, noticed a small hole in it! First use, how can it be waterproof now with a hole in it?!? Pretty disappointing. Rained on our way back home and somehow our stuff stayed dry thankfully! Not sure what to think now or how it will hold up

Great bag, is extremely tough and durable. Drove for 36 hours with this bag on the back of my SUV, and it performed great. Went through a couple of hours of rain, and only once did water get into the bag. I don't know how, but it did. Just a small amount. It's possible the tires kicked up some water under the velcro cover somehow. The zippers were super sturdy and held on despite my "just drove 12 hours" impatient yanking. There are no tie-down buckles on the bag itself which probably helps ensure no water in the bag, but the provided straps have an extra 6-inch extension past the buckle. I don't know what it is intended for, as I just attached two straps and wrapped them around the entire bag and tray. The strap extensions dangled, so I just tied them to the strap. I couldn't help thinking there was some other way of attaching the straps.

Initially, this cargo bag worked great. It fits perfectly, closed up well and stored our bags wonderfully. Then...16 hours later wet get to our destination only to discover that the exhaust melted thru the cargo bag and began to burn our duffle bag. Didn't anyone think of the exhaust pipe when they knew these cargo bags would be on the back end of a vehicle? You know, near the exhaust. I can't find a heat resistant one in the market. So I give it 3 stars. I truly do like the bag but it was intended for a hitch cargo carrier, which implies it's on the back near the exhaust. Therefore it SHOULD be heat resistant.

This cargo bag is of excellent quality! It is proven to be completely waterproof as it withstood a torrential overnight downpour of over 3 inches of rain. So far it's traveled only about 300 miles and has another 900 to go. It was perfect to add two suitcases full of clothes, a cooler full of beer, a container of dog food, a shopping bag full of stuff, clothes on hangers lying flat on top and more! The back of our truck was full of camping gear and this cargo bag provided easy access to our essentials instead of wading through the bed of the truck. Highly recommend this bag!

We really like the bag and it is good quality. The only flaw is that it has no frame on the inside and is very floppy and hard to use. We created our own frame out of PVC and it helps tremendously.

We used this for the first time driving on a10 hour road trip and encountered a lot of rain. Everything stayed dry and safe in the cargo carrier bag. It fit perfectly in our rack attached with a hitch (sold separately). I highly recommend!

Did great job, just make sure exhaust pipe points down. Did not notice this till halfway through our trip. Exhaust melted straps off and melted bag. Shocked though not completely through. Bought some cheap visegrips and flexible cutting mats to finish the trip. Made stainless heat deflector and mounted it to cargo carrier for future trips to protect the bag. No room on vehicle to change tail pipe to a downward one.
