This hitch rack is wonderful... it's heavy-duty and is perfect for my needs! It's large enough to hold a child's ATV easily plus the fold down ramp makes it easy to load large items.There was some initial assembly before the first use but after that it only takes a couple of minutes to put it on or take it off. One thing is that I'm using it with my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and I can't open the vehicle's gate when the rack is on... not an issue with the rack but more of an FYI. It comes with some great extras like a license plate holder and tie down straps.The quality of this rack is top-notch and I'm satisfied with it! It does the job... I highly recommend!
I've had cargo carriers before. I've used them primarily for hauling deer during deer season. This one separates itself from the rest because of the ramp. This opens up a whole new avenue of items that can be towed. As you can see in the attached video, the ramp folds away quite flat when not in use, and when needed easily folds out onto the ground, allowing you to quickly load and unload larger items like a snowblower, wheelchair, etc. Once the items are in place, the ramp is designed to lock in the upright position. The set up took me 30 to 40 minutes as the instructions were not easy for me to understand, but I did figure it out. It comes with multiple tiedown straps that are orange, which is nice for safety. It also comes with a set up that allows you to attach your license plate to the back of the hauler. This is not something that I will use, but it's definitely a nice option if you are going to be traveling long distances. Only reason I didn't give it. A five star is that it is extremely heavy and very hard to use on your own. I was by myself the first time I installed it and it took some imagination to figure out how to get this thing into the standard 2 inch receiver in the back of my truck. We're not in use it's rather large and bulky and difficult to move around in store. It does feel well built with solid construction and has plenty of spaces designed for you to place tiedown straps. Overall, I feel it's an ingenious idea that allows me to put so much more in the back then I could before.
This cargo carrier has already proven ita weight in gold. Being able to load larger items up a ramp, without having to lift them item is such a huge help. This is made well; full welded tube steel at the hitch connection point, and some very stout bolts underneath. Assembly is easy as is lifting and releasing the ramp. It's also a benefit not having to register with the local DMV which would be another expense. In the photo I have attached I am moving a 170lb bandsaw on wheels. It handled the bandsaw without issue. I recommend to those who move and transport items frequently, and to those of us who deal with back issues.
This is a great, all in one kit. It comes with the ramp already attached to the cargo tray, sturdy sides and it comes with everything you need to install it onto your hitch. Even has a locking hitch pin, ratchet straps, anti rattle brackets for the hitch as well and a license plate holder to stay legal.I did give mine a slightly lower rating, because it did arrive damaged / bent on one side and it interferes with the ramp moving up and down. It also broke the paint finish, so this spot will now rust.Overall, I would still recommend this cargo tray for many uses! A+!
Ordered this Wheelchair/Scooter Carrier Fits 2" Hitch - with built in ramp gate for my truck for multiple uses as we have a family member disabled and has to use a scooter for mobility when taken to doctor visits, shopping, and a bit of traveling. Recently while shopping online for new tires for her disability scooter, I saw this hitch mounted cargo carrier with a built-in wheelchair/scooter ramp and read about how it works, all it's uses, and how well it was made and that it fits/locks right into my 2" hitch on my truck/SUV and ordered it. First off, this whole carrier is very well constructed of solid alloy steel frames, and all sub flooring braces are welded across each joint and even the steel heavy duty mesh flooring is welded to the frame and subflooring. The interior floor space measures 48" wide and 28 1/2" deep, with 4"+ depth floor wall which is plenty of room for a disability scooter. It has a built-in (3) position hinged gate to easily let down for unloading scooter and a welded built-in steel smooth handle to raise and lock in place for hauling. It has a 500 Lb rating which will let me haul many other items like BBQ gas grill for cookouts, camping, 2-3 large coolers, camping gear, lawn mowers & etc. I like that it came with all needed accessories for securing it and the cargo hauled as it came with 1/2" steel locking pin w/keys, a non-rattling brace, multiple strong straps, and even a license plate bracket holder. Also like that it came with reflective stickers for night driving, and the ramp gate even has rubber edge guards for protection. The nice smooth black powder coat paint should help it last many rust free years.It easily earns a (5) star rating in my opinion
I returned the item unopened and Mockins charged me $155.00 in mailing fees. This is a second party shop on Amazon which I did not realize existed. I do not recommend this company and the postage to return was more than 50% of the cost of the item!
The chair.I was trying to put on it weighs 450 lbs., My car's tongue weight is 500 lbs. When the chair is on it, The carrier comes down to about three inches from the ground, And the chair It slanted. So I say it's not very strand the first time we went up on the Ramp it bent. So with the way that it rides on my car I would say it probably really can only hold about three hundred pounds if that.

This cargo carrier is heavy and made of quality steel. The carrier itself is relatively heavy, which may make manipulation challenging for some users. It wasn't too difficult to assemble with two people. It is easy to put on and take off the car. The folding ramp and securement accessories make loading and unloading convenient. This is an affordable option for transporting mobility aids. Overall, this is a high-quality cargo holder with a convenient ramp at a reasonable price. If you are trying to load heavy or very large things by yourself then having the ramp makes this trailer hitch cargo carrier very appealing. It isn't the easiest thing to get on the hitch, so you may need two people or some ingenuity to do that, but once it's on it's a back saver for sure. It has 500-pound weight limit, allowing you to carry quite a bit. It is great for scooters and wheelchairs, but there really are a ton of other uses for this like tools, equipment and other large items you may need for work, and the ramp makes it that much easier to use. It is very well made, and powder coating seems to be well done. It allows you to still open your back hatch or tailgate, if you put the ramp down. This is an excellent choice for anyone who needs to move a lot of heavy items often, has a mobility scooter, or wants to save their back from lifting all the time.

I love my early-model Scion xB, but it just doesn't have a lot of room for cargo. This rack added much-needed space to it. Installing it is easy, considering I have a receiver hitch on my little "bus,- and using the rack is just as easy. I love that it comes with a mount to move your plate to the outside of the rack. No worries about being pulled over for a covered plate. The ramp makes it easy to load my daughter's scooter on it when I have to pick her up on rainy days. The included stabilizer makes it so that the rack doesn't rattle when you're driving around. Being able to fold it up, I leave it on my car all the time now, and it comes in handy when I least expect it. Great purchase and well worth the money.

It took some time to install this trailer hitch cargo carrier.Pros: The quality is great, and the material is heavy-duty. All the necessary parts were included, and it has a nice anti-rust coating. It feels very sturdy and stable, making it reliable for transporting items. The overall construction is solid.Cons: The instruction manual is not detailed enough, especially when it comes to the small parts. Some details were unclear, which made the assembly process more time-consuming. Since the carrier is quite heavy, I had to adjust and reassemble it multiple times.That said, the end result is great. If you don't own a pick-up truck, this is an awesome way to carry things on the back of your SUV or car with a receiver hitch. Assembly is pretty easy and straightforward. The ramp is one the best features....being able to roll or drag something heavy up the ramp instead of picking it up is GREAT. I put mine on the back of a 2011 4Runner and I don't get any rattles or wobbles like some of the cargo carries I've had in the past. We've carried bags of cement on it with no trouble.
I recently installed the trailer hitch cargo carrier, and overall, I'm impressed with its durability and quality. The installation took about an hour and a half, primarily due to the flaws in documentation and missing orientation of some of the parts. It has heavy and strong grade metals used in its construction. This thing is built to last!However, the instructions could use some fine-tuning, especially when it comes to identifying the individual pieces. None of the pieces were marked to match the descriptions in the manual, which made the assembly process more challenging. Additionally, there were some O-rings included that didn't have any instructions, so I wasn't sure where they were supposed to go. Once assembled and inserted into the truck hitch receiver, there is still noticeable sway, and a fraction of an inch play allow bumps to push up the trailer with a potential to knock off items if you do not fasten them down well.On the positive side, all the necessary pieces for installation were included, and the color and exterior of the carrier appear to be very high quality, resistant to rust. The material feels sturdy and reliable.Despite the minor hiccups with the assembly instructions, the cargo carrier performs exceptionally well and provides a secure and stable platform for carrying extra gear. It comes at a good price. If the instructions are improved, this would be a perfect 5-star product.

The weight of the entire unit is stated at 77 pounds which is an awkward handful for an older or physically challenged user. This weight suggests that the carrier will be left in place for longer periods of time and that means it really should have a taillight kit to extend the stop/tail/turn lights to the rack. The cutouts for lighting are in the steel surround so adding a pair of lights as well as your license plate if it's going to remain on the vehicle and a 4-way harness would be a small addition to the price point. Otherwise, the build quality is in line with the pricing, the utility is good and the provided straps and locking hitch pin are worthwhile. Hauling a mobility scooter, a lawn mower, bringing home a washing machine or a gas grill are great reasons to have this. I think the benefits of not needing to have a 2nd vehicle like a truck make this worth the inconveniences of the minor issues I pointed out. I like it. It can be better but don't make this stop you from getting one.
