Great quality and engineering! We bought this hitch to carry two folding electric bikes and we have plenty of room to spare. Some assembly required but that wasn't a problem. We love the ability to flip it up and still show the license plate.
I gave this item a 5 star review because overall it was exactly what I expected, however I did have 2 issues with the product that I had to address. 1st, the main bolt that goes through the hinge portion of the hitch assy lacked about 2 threads going completely through the nut (see pic), I just got a longer bolt and installed it. 2nd, the posted size for the carrier is for the outside dimension and does not take into consideration the thickness of the square tubing around the top portion so the actual dimension is about 1-1/2" smaller than the overall dimension. I needed about 29.5 " for what I am using it for so I had to jack the outter frame out to accomidate my cargo (an E-Trike). All in all these two modifications were minor and the carrier does exactly what I needed.
I purchased this for my new trailer, because of the lack of storage space, and was truly amazed at the quality of it, and the things that I wanted to take were of many odd sizes that took up to much space in the smaller storage space that didn't pack well, I had a few concerns and contacted customer service that evening and the next morning they texted and emailed to help me with my problem! They also contacted me again later in the day to see if what they suggested worked! When you get great response from a company you really know that they Care!
Arrived on time, great value for the money, held coolers and all luggage for family of 4 on 10 day trip to CO. Bag worked perfect to keep everything dry and clean. Frame never sagged or rattled. We used this for about 1500 miles with zero issues.
Purchased this for our family trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park and it worked amazing. I got the XXL model for the trip but reading the comments , regarding the bolt snapping/breaking , I went to my local hardware store and was informed by the gentleman that the main screw where it bends is a 4.5 , he suggested for me to get something stronger for it since it was a long trip and wanted me to avoid any problems or issues , so I got a different bolt that is about 10.9 (in the pictures it's the yellow looking bolt) . Total cost was about $9 for the bolt.After driving the 1,500 miles to park and back it performed amazing with no problems. I also believe the bolt might have snapped due to users exceeding the weight capacity.Assembly did take a bit so make about 1-2 hours to complete. It weighs about 75 lbs. so if you can have somebody help you lift to put into the hitch, it would make it a lot easier.I haven't tried it on my Subaru Forester, but it did fit the Chevy traverse like a charm.Another thing to add, is it does come with a hitch lock however be sure to check your car as we had issues trying to put it on because of the way that the Chevy traverse has the trailer light connector right next to it. We ended up purchasing a $3.99 hitch pin with clip at U-Haul and that did the trick. Be sure to fasten your anti-hitch rattle ( the things that looks like a U bolt ) to ensure your load isn't moving around, this can also cause an accident if strong winds occur.The bag is easy to clean and protects your items from elements.I definitely recommend a 10/10 for everything. It saves a-lot of space inside the car and it's very reliable. The fact that it can fold up makes it even better. The price is amazing!!! if this one doesn't fit my Subaru due to the size I will definitely be purchasing the smaller one.
The shop sent a defective, repacked item, knowingly passing it off despite its flaws. The parts don't even align properly. This is trash from a very unprofessional company. Avoid at all costs!
I know it's not meant for travel trailers, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway. It worked fine our 1st two trips, but the bolts broke on the 3rd. Glad I put extra straps on it, so we didn't end up losing anything. Really like the size of this. It's the only one I found this size that would fit our dog cage and chairs. Got some new heavy duty bolts, so we'll see how long it lasts.
I purchased this product and upon its very first use it broke going down the road nearly causing an accident going down a major highway. Upon the tray breaking my EMPTY cooler was damaged as well as my other belongings lost.The items on the tray were less than 250 lbs. This product is absolute garbage and should be avoided. This tray has cost me over 500 dollars between the loss of the product itself and my damaged/lost items. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
Purchase and luggage carrier that was needed for our trip to New York. We had a car that needed to have a place for luggage and not small luggage either. We traveled winding roads, rain, and wind from North Carolina to New York with no issues and no wet luggage. It's not to hard to put together or install on the vehicle very good purchase.
First off, do yourself a favor and use a socket wrench set to assemble this, the included wrenches aren't great and don't even appear to fit all the included hardware. Plus some of the bolts need a flathead screwdriver and no tool is included for those so you'll need your own. Mine was also missing one bolt/washer/nut set so I'm going to have to go to the hardware store before I can use this.The two halves didn't line up so we had to work to force the bars and plates into alignment to get them attached and looking at the completed carrier it's definitely not totally straight and level. It does feel strong though. The hitch lock is nice, very easy to use and I'm probably going to use it with other trailers as well.Be aware that depending on the clearance between your hitch receiver and bumper you may not be able to fold up the carrier. We couldn't fold it up while attached and when we tried removing it, folding it up, and reattaching it we hit the bumper long before the carrier and hitch receiver were lined up to reattach. If you have a hitch receiver that's back under the bumper so you don't trip over it when it's not in use you will likely encounter this issue as well. Also, even though the product photos show the reflector stickers on all four sides they only include enough for the back and short sides so don't put them on the side that faces the vehicle. I also have concerns about how long the stickers will stay on since I did put them on the wrong side at first and was easily able to remove them and stick them in the correct spot. I don't know if the adhesive will get stronger over time or something but they took so little effort to remove that I wonder if they'll peel off on their own while using the carrier.Overall I like this and think it has a lot of nice features but for the price it would be nice if the pieces lined up better, extra reflector stickers and hardware were included, and better info was in the description about how much space you need between.
It arrived ahead of schedule. Packing was great. I purchased a can of rubber spray to help with NY salt is all it needs. Cannot beat the quality.

I was looking for a hitch mount cargo carrier for an upcoming camping trip and came across this package deal. After reading reviews and comparing different carriers I settled on this one. It came with the cargo carrier, a bungee cargo net with clips and the stabilizer bracket. It was so easy to put together. I highly recommend this package since it includes the stabilizer bracket which is definitely needed. Without it the carrier is somewhat loose in the receiver hitch which would cause unwanted movement and noise when in transit. With the stabilizer in place there is absolutely no movement whatsoever. The bungee cargo net clips have a rounded hook eye which are slightly hard to get over the square frame rail but still work great. As an added bonus I also bought the rainproof Cargo carrier Bag not included in this package.This worked great for hauling extra items for our camping trip and I am totally happy with the purchase.I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier!!!!
This hitch mount carrier works great! It is easy to assemble and extremely sturdy. It holds a lot of stuff and doesn't make any noise when attached to my car. I highly recommend it!
