Used this for a trip to Colorado during spring break. We happened to be going during the time the big snowstorm was supposed to hit, so decided to buy this to keep our luggage dry on the hitch carrier. The snow did come - 54 inches of it and we were glad to have this bag to protect our suitcases. The trip was about 1600 miles roundtrip and the bag held up like a champ! The only negative I have to mention abotu it is don't rely solely on the straps that are provided with the bag. They WILL loosen up. Make sure you secure this with additional ratchet straps! This is our first trip with it, so time will tell how well it holds up down the line, but for now, we are happy with it.
This cargo carrier is pretty large. You can put a lot of stuff in it. It is made of thick weather proof material which seems to be pretty durable. However, I don't think it can handle something with sharp edges. Keep it mind and try to cover sharp edges of your stuff when putting it into this cargo carrier. It should be noted that photos from the shop are somewhat misleading, because it might seem that the carrier can keep prismatic shape, which it cannot. It just collapses under its own weight. The nice looking prismatic shape is possible only if you put some hard-shell boxes and align them so they form nice flat sides and match the size of the cargo carrier. Otherwise, the carrier will collapse. Nevertheless, I don't think at affects its functionality, unless it deforms so the seam cover will face up, which might lead to a water penetration under heavy rain. If you are careful it should be fine. I measured the size and it is 1-2 inches short in length and height but half and inch longer in depth. It comes with three straps, lock and the carrying bag. Overall, I think it is a decent cargo carrier for the price, but don't expect the same level of sturdiness and weather protection as high-quality hard shell cargo boxes which cost 5-10 time more.
This is the largest cargo bag I've ever owned. Quite sturdy, and I'm not exaggerating, this is truly a sturdy cargo bag. What I needed for my truck was a strong cargo bag, and I thought it would arrive in my hands as shown in the pictures, but you have to shape this bag yourself as you see in the product images. Make sure to check the dimensions yourself before purchasing. Unpacking this cargo bag doesn't take much time after taking it out of the box, and folding it when needed is relatively simple. You can fit a lot inside, it's so spacious and voluminous.
There is a lot to like here if one cant fit all their stuff in their rig for camping/road trips. The material is good for ran/snow and the material can be hosed off to get off the road grime. The included straps are plenty for even a large load. The lock is a nice touch but defeatable if one is determined to get into your bag. It comes in a carry case, but good luck getting it back in after you've had it stretched out and filled.
I knew that this cargo bag was big but I highly underestimated how big. Before that, I probably should dispel some notions about it from the images. This is a soft cargo bag. The literature and images give off the impression that it is hard lined to keep its huge trunk shape about it. It is not.In the box was the carrier bag inside of its own little double zippered carrying case, a padlock for locking the zippers closed, a couple of tie down straps, and an assortment of literature about the company and product. The cargo bag is definitely heavy duty and thick. It is seamed very well with hidden top zippers cover with heavy flaps and secures with Velcro. It would be some feat for water to get up inside of this bag when sealed properly.The tie down straps are nice for that added bit of peace-of-mind while drive down the road with it on back. The padlock is a small simple combination lock that can be changed to whatever combination the owner wants. It is not going to stop any theft for the contents inside but will be just enough to stop the idly curious from snooping inside.Now to the overall size of this bag. HUGE! It can carry so much stuff all at once. And once it is at its full splendor, you can't even see the back bottom half or taillights of our SUV. This is made for a full-size SUV, Van, or Truck. Anything mid-size or down is going to be mostly hidden by this carrier. That is just asking for trouble from law enforcement. So either don't use it at its full size or get some extra taillights and move the license plate to the metal hitch carrier.My eyes were too big for our mid-size SUV with this bag but I am very happy with it and will find ways to make it work in our situation. 5 stars.
I though I had a standard-sized hitch cargo shelf, but the footprint of this case hangs over on all sides. This is a monster case! The quality feels very nice, the seams seem sealed for water resistance. The straps are sewn on firmly. It even comes with a lock. Of course, anyone with a pocketknife can get into it, so it's not good for storing valuables.While it's designed to be used one a cargo rack, I think it may have an additional purpose for when hurricanes are headed to my city, Houston. I can store all our computers in it (with room to spare!) and strap it to the couch in case the storm rips off my roof. It'll offer good, emergency protection in such a situation.
This bag is super big. It is actually wider than my 5x8 trailer. It is a nice heavy material with plenty of straps. It comes with a case, extra straps, a lock and carrying bag. This is too big for hitch mounted carrier mounts. This is great for keeping things dry on a trailer. I have to say this again this thing is huge. You are going to need a tailer or a really big car carrier. I will use this on the trailer to keep things dry and all together. I love the it come with all the accessories. This is heavy duty and should last a long time.
For starters, this is a soft sided container.It is pictured with 'squared' corners but it is unlikely that it will ever look that way loaded up.Comes in a carry bag but good luck getting it back into that bag. If it is not folded up exactly as it came it will never fit back in.Nit picking aside, It's well made, heavy duty and should have no problem keeping water and road grime off of whatever you put into it.There are 3 straps to cinch the bag down. The zipper around the top along with the velcro fasteners all around the top should do a pretty good job keeping it closed up.It is indeed a heavy duty vinyl material - as they claim.Comes with a small lock for the zippers.Worth it? I think so. Sure beats trying to wrap whatever it is you are carrying with a tarp or something similar. Used properly, this is a pretty good deal and a good value.

Our waterproof cargo carrier bag from Mockins was absolutely a life saver. We were getting married in the mountains and had a lot of gear for the weekend. The waterproof bag was perfect as we were able to put our clothes in the bag on the hitch rack as some of the more fragile cargo (alcohol!) was able to be stored in the back of our SUV. Have used in rain and snow. Stayed dry every time. I did build a pvc frame for it. Without the frame it would be hard to use.

I purchased this bag for my 8hr trip from NJ to NC Outer Banks. It was pouring rain the entire trip from NJ to the Outer Banks and rained most of the way back. All of the contents of the bag stayed absolutely dry. The tie down straps were sturdy and the additional bungee cofd net held everything tight. The bag is well made and has plenty of room for storage. I would definitely recommend this bag for a cargo hitch carrier.
