A: The cargo carrier fits vehicles with a 2" hitch receiver. Always verify that your vehicle’s hitch class and weight capacity support the carrier.

Q: Can the cargo carrier be used with a hitch extender?
A: Yes, as long as the hitch extender is rated for the appropriate weight capacity and does not compromise stability.

Q: Is this hitch carrier approved for use on a 5th wheel?
A: Yes, as long as the hitch receiver meets the required weight capacity. Always double-check your vehicle’s specifications.

Q: Can the hitch carrier be attached to a tow ball?
A: No, it is not designed for tow ball use. It must be connected to a hitch receiver.

Q: Will dual exhaust pose a fire hazard?
A: The heavy-duty steel withstands high temperatures, but it is recommended to maintain a safe distance from the exhaust to prevent heat exposure.

Q: Does the cargo carrier block the rearview camera?
A: It may partially obstruct visibility depending on your vehicle and the cargo being carried. Always check after installation and adjust if needed.

Q: What is the maximum recommended height for stacking cargo?
A: If stacking above the side rails, use a cargo net or tie-down straps to keep items secure during travel.

Durability & Maintenance

Q: Is the cargo carrier rust-proof?
A: The carrier is made of anti-rust steel with a protective coating. For extended durability, periodically apply a rust-resistant spray and store it indoors when not in use.

A: The waterproof cargo bag has carry handles, zipper pulls, a protective zipper flap, Velcro closures, and buckle straps. It also includes an anti-theft lock for added security.

This Mockins rooftop cargo bag is a full kit. They give you a layer to put down if you dont have roof racks. It comes complete with all the hooks and straps and it waterproof in my testing. You have to put the symbol facing forward and Mockins name facing back. The zipper opens that way and keeps the flap down so rain runs off it. I used this for camping and was able to store almost everything that was needed on the roof with no problems. A few tie downs to my roof rack carrier and it didn't move at all. My concern was the panoramic sunroof I have and after putting it on the vehicle it didn't cause any issues. I will say if you have 2 people you can also just lift the entire bag off the roof. The last trip we tried that and it worked pretty well. Overall if your looking for a way to take more storage this is a good option. I would recommed this one.

Was nice at first zipper seems pretty solid but after 2 small trips with the family the bag is already ripping ontop in several places. Bag was used properly and was never over packed either. Makes me consider investing in a hard top one.

Right off the top, I have to reiterate that this thing is huge! I've had another roof bag for some time, and it always proved quite useful for camping or carrying more than I can fit in the car. This bag is at least twice the space as my previous with how tall it is. It included all the straps and padding needed to secure to the roof (door hooks, snap straps, ratchet straps, non-slip pad) which made installation a breeze, and an additional lock for some security (although it is just a zipper lock so it's not going to last long against some slight determination). The material is nice and thick; zipper is weatherized and a velcroing flap covers the zipper as well making it quite weather and waterproof. (You could probably throw the full bag in a lake and not have anything get wet). The included bag is actually a functional storage bag! So many times, things come factory packed in a "storage bag" that you'd need a hydraulic press to ever make it useful again. Overall, this thing is a beast that increases the weatherproof space for your vehicle for an incredibly reasonable price. (How many can I stack on top of each other and not collapse my roof?)

Spacious interior accommodates a lot of gear, perfect for extended road trips. Heavy-duty vinyl fabric withstands rain and sunlight exposure. Straps, hooks and cinching system securely fasten load.ystem compatible with many roof racks or can attach directly to roof with supplied hardware. Side access zipper allows easy packing/unpacking without opening main flap. Waterproof construction keeps contents dry. Attractive navy color suits most vehicle aesthetics.

Really like this bag. Gives a ton of extra space without needing a roof rack. Feels tough enough on top of the car. Zipper stays covered so things stay dry even in bad weather. Comes with straps hooks and a mat so it stays put on the roof. Easy to pack and unpack. Not flashy but works perfect for road trips. Makes packing stress free.

Perfect for our trip. Everything stayed dry in the rain. We fit 5 duffle bags and one suitcase in with room to put other things as well! Easy to install no issues.

EXACTLY what we needed for a road trip! Was able to fit so much stuff on top of the van so we didn't have to give up space inside during travel. This set up came with everything you could possibly need in order to feel secure that your belongings wouldn't end up scattered all over the highway! All of the ties, straps, zippers, etc., are very strong and sturdy. The fabric is tough and stitching solid so I had no worries that anything would run, fray, or rip during travel. We did hit some rain (not a downpour, but enough) and we had no issues with wet clothing. This cargo set is amazing!

My review is based on my experience with it. There are a few ways to use this.First of all, it is waterproof. We experienced rain on our trip. We drove about 8 hours each way. I have a roof rack that consists of two horizontal raised bars. I placed the bag on top and used the rack bars as my tie down points with the ratchet straps. I decided to use the included 2 ratchet straps because the color matched and I didn't feel like looking for my better ones. This was my biggest mistake. The included straps are OK. There are much better straps available (at a cost) with carabiners at the ends. There are other features on higher end straps that make them a lot easier to work with and more secure. The straps came off a couple times on the trip home. I take the blame. There are other tie-down options available with this. I wish they would've included better ratchet straps, but I knew that in advance, while others might not know the difference.

Very good quality kept everything inside of the bag dry while driving in thunderstorms for 3 hours . Only thing we had difficulty with is installation. Inside of our car got wet instructions were not very well explained .

The best way that I can describe the material that the cargo bag is made from would be that it's like a blow-up mattress but stiffer. It's a very heavyweight plastic. The straps are standard ratchet straps and buckled straps. The zipper has plastic over the teeth to make it more waterproof and there's a flap of several inches that Velcros down over the zipper. I have not found any issues with the materials' quality or the construction. The instructions are lacking. They talk about the different pieces of straps, but don't clearly show which they're talking about. When I first opened the package, my roof hooks fell to the side and it took me ages to verify that none of the straps I had could have been the hooks. Once I found them, it was more obvious which ones they were.I do recommend installing it with another person if at all possible. The bag itself is so thick and heavy that it's hard to spread out across the roof, particularly if you have a larger vehicle. That's the closest thing to a complaint that I have about this. It's so heavy that it's a bit unwieldy for someone who's small or not as strong. On the other hand, what's really important is that it holds up and keeps everything safe.I'm including photographs of some of the parts of this. There's also a photograph of the hook after I attached it under the rubber seal on the vehicle's door.

I bought this rooftop cargo bag for a recent road trip when I needed extra storage space without a roof rack.It was surprisingly easy to set up using the straps and door hooks provided, and the bag stayed secure even at highway speeds. The waterproof material and zipper cover did a good job keeping my gear dry during a light rain shower. The included roof matgave extra protection to both my car roof and the bag itself. The size is generous and fit everything I needed withoutbeing bulky. When not in use, it folds down compactly into the carry case. Overall, it gave me peace of mind with solidconstruction and practical design, making it a great travel companion.

This is a well made storage container. One thing to note, if you are loading on top of vehicle, try to fill from front to back and tie down really well, it will catch a lot of air if you don't. Kept our stuff dry on a long trip and kept our things safe. I had it filled to capacity and noticed a decline in gas mileage and increase in wind noise. But all I all it solved my lack of storage space when all the seats were filled in the truck. Sorry for bad pics but it's the only one I had. I worked as intended and was easy to work with. I would recommend.

Raymond

Absolutely horrible bag didn't stand up to 70 mph driving, holes tore in the material this causing all of our luggage to get soaked.

Do you need a water tight storage solution to mount to the top pf your car? If you do check this carrier out. The material reminds me of a thick rubber that you would see on a quality inflatable mattress or towable tube. The handles are well stitched and reinforced in numerous areas. The cargo carrier comes with numerous tie down straps and hooks to meet most attachment needs. It can mount to your cargo bars or to your roof frame under the doors. It works great and keeps your items dry. The storage size is larger than the hard sided cargo case I have and the price is much less than the solid container. It will keep water out as well if not better than the hard sided shell. It stows easily in the included case and is quickly deployed to your roof. he hardest part is deciding where and how to retain it, but that is true of any roof mounted storage.

We just used this for a trip. We found it easy to install and it held a lot of stuff. It comes with a lot of adjustable straps to hold everything down.Other reviews had mentioned water getting in, but we haven had that issue as of yet. I did cover everything item in black plastic bags to prevent moisture if it were an issue. I placed all of the straps in the doors with a knot placed right under the close. We couldn't hear anything flapping. Worked great for us.

This cargo bag is seriously impressive. It's huge-easily held all my camping gear-and the waterproof vinyl material feels heavy-duty and reliable. The zipper cover does a great job keeping rain out, and the included foam pad protects your roof. I used it on a car with no roof rack and it still stayed secure at highway speeds thanks to the straps and hooks. Folds down easily into the storage bag when not in use.

We do a lot of weekend trips, and our car often gets packed to the brim. This rooftop cargo bag has been a lifesaver for freeing up space inside. It's surprisingly roomy, holding all our extra luggage and gear. I was a bit worried about rain, but it truly is waterproof; everything inside stayed completely dry even after driving through a pretty heavy downpour. Setting it up was straightforward, and I like that it comes with all the straps and even a mat to protect the roof. It feels really secure once it's on, and knowing we have that extra space makes our journeys so much more comfortable.

I couldn't be happier with this cargo bag. It's a great thickness, heavy duty, good quality construction, really large (great size), good waterproofing design & material, good accessories (straps, lock, etc.), zipper works well, great placement of handles to help position/move and just works great. I love that it doesn't require a roof rack and has a pad to put under it, so it doesn't scratch the top of your car. I love that it comes in a storage bag so you can just have in your vehicle just in case you need it. I highly recommend.

I have a 2014 Prius without a roof rack or side rails, so I was happy to find something that could allow for some storage on top of the car regardless, especially since the car already has so little space inside for things like camping gear. This is a perfect solution for long car trips that require hauling a lot of gear. The whole unit comes packed inside a carrying case that leaves a fair amount room to spare, so it's not a total pain to pack everything back into the bag when you're done with it. The carrying bag's construction seems fair but not impressive, its zipper glides smoothly, and it has a carrying handle to help with its substantial weight and brand name printed boldly. The cargo bag itself is dense and convincingly waterproof. It's a strong material that I trust to protect my items inside from heavy rain and basic debris damage. There are plenty of included straps that feel appropriately strong to keep this thing perfectly in place. A few of the straps feature heavy duty metal hooks and buckles, while the remaining straps are equipped with hard plastic snaps and tightening sliders. A small combination lock is present with good instruction on how to set the combination. It seems fine, but I have stronger locks that I may choose to employ, depending on where I'm traveling. I love that a foam mat (much like a yoga mat) is included to place directly on my roof, protecting it from scratches and dings. So I'm very happy with this useful kit overall.

I ordered this 30 CuFt rooftop cargo bag to help move my daughter to flight school, and it was a total game changer. We were able to load it up with a ridiculous amount of stuff - clothes, bedding, books, you name it - and it all fit. The best part? My car doesn't even have a roof rack, and it still worked perfectly. The included straps and hooks made it super secure, and it held tight for hundreds of miles. It poured rain during part of the drive and not a single drop got inside. The waterproof zipper and thick vinyl construction kept everything dry and protected. The dimensions (60-x43-x20-) give you serious capacity, but it doesn't flap around or look bulky when secured properly.Bonus: it folds down neatly into the included storage bag when not in use.If you're hauling gear, moving a college student, or just need extra storage for road trips - this is 100% worth it. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

I go camping or on family vacations about 8 times per year, the rest of the time I'm driving between one and four people with little to no cargo. So almost all of my driving is done with small, fuel-efficient vehicles. Owning a giant SUV or minivan has never made much sense to me.Which is why I love rooftop cargo bags. They're a great way to massively increase your cargo volume so you don't have to own a giant SUV or minivan. I also love small trailers for the same reason. Combining the two is absolutely fantastic! What you see in the picture is the Mockins 30 CuFt Navy Waterproof Rooftop Cargo Bag on a HF 4x8 folding trailer. This will be towed from NJ to NC and back by a Kia Soul. I got the Mockins 30 CuFt Cargo bag because last year I realized packing would be a little easier with a larger bag. This bag gives me enough space that I can easily fit 5 large plastic bins inside, possibly 6. When that layer is done I'll zip it up and stack a smaller cargo bag on top with luggage. Everything will stay dry and protected from both wind and prying hands. This is my fourth cargo bag and I have to say it's one of the best I've seen. The constructions is high quality, the zippers and tie-down points are sewn well. The lip covering the zipper is wide and protects well from rain. This unit has sturdy grab handles, which I haven't seen on a cargo bag before and which makes positioning and repositioning much easier. It comes as a complete set with different tie-down types and a set of ratchet straps, along with a carry bag. The price is quite good, I paid more for a smaller, lower quality, unit at a big-box retail store.Installation on a car roof should be fairly straightforward but it's always a little difficult getting these loaded on a car roof. On a trailer it's a breeze, especially since you don't need to tie the bag itself down. Just through a couple of ratchet straps over it and you're good to go.I highly recommend the Mockins 30 CuFt Navy Waterproof Rooftop Cargo Bag, bot.

This is a very large cargo rooftop bag, measuring in at 60x43x20, and offering 30cubic feet of cargo capacity. It is made of thick, heavy duty material, the waterproof zippers work smoothly, and the zippers have an overlap secured by Velcro. The was ok to install, but it is a little time consuming to make sure it is secure. It worked ok, although fuel economy took a hit.
